Jay & Nazuna Comfort:

Jay and Nazuna Comfort, have Hearts4Nepal.  They have supported humanitarian projects in the areas of Mugu, Chitwan, Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal for the past six years. Jay and Nazuna want to include people from around the world in their projects so that they not only bring vital resources to Nepal, but they also establish broad international outreach. The Christian ministers in Nepal that Jay works with have numerous contacts in many different fields in Nepal. Contact with the Nepali people is through indigenous church leaders. Projects include food and clothing distribution, dispersal of education supplies to private and public schools, street children aid, orphan support, youth and children’s ministry, famine relief, and health care. Nepal is one of the world’s poorest nations, and its recent history of civil war and earthquake destruction has created a desperate humanitarian crisis. This ministry involves three main aspects: self-sustainability of the people and the indigenous church, synergistic cooperation between Nepali people throughout Nepal, and opportunities for Christian service by people from all over the world. The love of God, expressed through these projects, has changed many lives and hearts in Nepal and many Nepali people are turning to Christ.

In addition, Jay and Nazuna do outreach in Leh, Ladakh, India. As of June 2024, they have worked to create a Business As Mission (BAM) coffee shop ministry in Leh working with a local Nepali couple. The coffee shop was well received in the first three months of its operation. We look forward to God using it to reach out to many in the area.
