Why I Am a Part of Elim

Why I Am a Part of Elim

I want to share why I am a part of Elim. For me, it is more than worship and experiencing God — yes, it is that, but it goes much deeper.

It has been the relationships in times of trouble. In moments of deep, dark despair, when I wondered what I would do, how I would act, or who I could turn to, there were men and women of Elim — elders, friends, and teammates — that I could go to and be transparent.
I could share burdens I didn’t want to share with anyone else, and instead of judgment, I received guidance, encouragement, and love. These friends lifted me when I couldn’t lift myself.

There are resources in this fellowship that run deep. When we allow others to sow into our lives, blessings flow. Sometimes we come to meetings carrying so much, thinking, “No one understands what I’m going through.” But the Lord reminds us, “Yes, I do. Be still — I’m doing something in you today.”

When you walk through the valleys of life, there’s someone here who will help lift you toward the next mountaintop. I don’t live on the mountaintop. I love those moments when God inspires us, but I’ve learned to live in the valleys. And in those valley seasons, it is the fellowship, the friendships, and the body of Christ here at Elim that carry me.

Until the Lord calls me home, I remain grateful and thankful for the elders and friends who care deeply about my ministry and calling, who keep me steady on the right road. That is why I am part of Elim.
