NYC Mission Trip — Spring Break 2026
This spring break, something powerful happened in New York City and it started right here in our churches. Three local EF church’s came together, loaded up vans, hopped on trains, and made their way to one of the most iconic cities in the world — not as tourists, but as servants. Sixty people gave up their spring break to say yes to something bigger than themselves, and what God did through that simple obedience was nothing short of incredible.
Our teams spent the week in the trenches working in food pantries and soup kitchens, serving alongside organizations already doing the hard work of loving their city. We helped feed thousands of people across New York City, and every meal served was a chance to show someone that they are seen, they are valued, and they are loved by God. We also took to the streets of Manhattan, distributing blankets, clothing, and food to men and women experiencing homelessness looking people in the eye and treating them with the dignity every human being deserves.
But we didn't just serve with our hands — we served with our voices. On subway platforms and throughout the city, our students and leaders led worship, preached the Gospel, and shared firsthand what God is doing in their lives. There's something holy about watching a teenager boldly declare their faith in the middle of New York City. It wasn't polished or perfect — it was real, and God moved through it every single time.
What made this trip especially meaningful was the unity we experienced as a family of churches. Different congregations, different personalities, different backgrounds, all working side by side with one mission: to see the name of Jesus lifted high. That kind of kingdom collaboration is exactly what God calls us to, and it was beautiful to watch it come to life in real time.
We came home tired, but we came home changed. Something has been stirred in our students, our leaders, and our churches — and we believe the best is still ahead. If this trip is any indication of what God wants to do in and through us, then get ready. What's next is going to be worth showing up for.
